During the annual Tết closure, I have taken some time to focus on relaxing and advancing my MSc studies. This week I dove into the Network Systems Principles and Practice Pathway, a series of three courses worth 3 credits, marking the start of my MSc program.
I found the material both engaging and challenging. My study routine consisted of watching lectures, taking detailed notes, conducting further research, and completing regular assignments and quizzes.
Interestingly, I noticed that I was familiar with about 60% of the content, while the remaining 40% introduced me to new concepts. This experience is not only serving as a refresher but also extending my knowledge from my BSc in Computing for Real-Time Systems, which I completed back in 2000.
Overall, I’m pleased with the progress I have made and look forward to continuing my journey in this program.
I also took the opportunity to start reading “Ashes of Luukessia,” the first book in a side trilogy set in the world imagined by Robert J. Crane in Sanctuary. The story begins in the village of Terreas, where residents struggle to survive, surrounded by the scourge in a nearly dead land. The focus is on Jasen Rabinn, a teenage boy with a mind that reaches beyond the boundaries of his village. The plot is captivating, and I am eager to see how it develops further.
Finally, I have also resumed playing Baldur’s Gate 3 after taking a break from gaming at the end of 2024. I am enjoying my continued adventures in Faerûn.
