Day one, Cycle 46!

Day one, Cycle 46!

“Once more, the cycle begins and the bell tolls at four on the dial. A dial with only five digits and a hand that flips with no discernible pattern every 10-week past. Long have I forgotten how many times the bell has tolled at four.

I emerge from my slumber, ready to face the horde that awaits my command. The seas will be rough, the journey no smoother. My task: to steer this ship through treacherous waters, to guide my horde to victory and overcome the fourth!

The dawn of a new term is upon us. Bring on the horde! Bring on the cycle! Bring forth victory!”

Today is the first day of Quarter 2 2024-25, my 46th term at EIU over the last twelve years!

I love my job and I’m looking forward to the new challenges and experiences I will have this term teaching repeating upper-intermediate students. I am again co-managing level four, however, this term I will be working with a new coordinator, Ray, who is taking over the reins from Ben.

I suspect this first week will be quite busy, however I love the challenges and look look forward to meeting some new students, and seeing some familiar faces.

Let the games begin!
