Today marked the end of another academic term at EIU. All the marking, student appeals and administrative tasks finished for now 🙂
It was also a little sad today as my close colleague and friend, Ben, is moving on. I’ve had the great pleasure of working with him for several years. He has always been very supportive and a great colleague. Although, he’ll not be far as he plans to return to Saigon in the not too distant future.
I’m excited for his future adventures and wish him all the best on his onward journey 🙂
As part of my trying to be more social and also to bid Ben farewell, I arrange a small lunch at a Japanese restaurant, Robata An this afternoon. Ben, Don, Mike and myself had a lovely meal. I enjoy the time I spend with friends outside and find it fulfilling, even though as an introvert it can feel hard.
Well, now, I am very much looking forward to my Christmas break! I will be flying to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday morning for a few days 🙂
