Memories of my Girl

Like most days, today has been pretty standard.

This evening, I had some things I needed to sort out at the Becamex hotel for the office Christmas dinner this Friday. While I was there I decided to have dinner and rest a little bit.

It’s funny how day-to-day, One Drive will show me photos from the past and while I was in the restaurant today it showed me photos of Elly having the same meal in the restaurant 4 years ago.

The temperature is dropping at the moment, so the mornings and evenings are colder. There was this really cute photo of Elly wearing one of my jumpers four years ago. She is adorable!

I know at the moment, she is in New Zealand. That means for her, Christmas right now will be fairly hot but not hot like it is here, I don’t think. I do feel sad because I’ve heard absolutely nothing about her but I still cherish the thought of her every day.

Everywhere I go, I have memories of her and me together. Even today, I still keep many of her things around the apartment, and listen to her voice every time I get a message on my phone. A long time ago, she did a recording for me which said, “Daddy Ơi, you have a message”, and I still use this as my notification sound.

Wherever you are Elly, I never stopped loving you, nor missing you.
